Ancient City tour

0700hrs Leave for Kandy Sri Lanka’s most beautiful hill capital. En-route to Kandy visit the Elephant orphanage in Pinnawala and feed gentle orphan elephants. Later watch them being bathed and groomed.

Thereafter proceed to Kandy. Some highlights during the sightseeing tour of Kandy are the Temple of the tooth relic and the handicraft centre. A visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and Orchid House, and a drive to the Upper lake road for a panoramic view of the Garden city will also be included. Buffet lunch provided at a 4 star hotel.

Late afternoon return to Colombo for Colombo Highlights tour*

Kandy /overnight (price USD 75 (LKR 8500) per person, on double room sharing basis) Stay overnight in Kandy with accommodation at a selected 3-5 star category hotel. After your Kandy City tour, explore the market place with shops and boutiques filled with antiques, curios, trinkets and handicrafts.

At Sun down attend a traditional religious ceremony (Pooja) at the sacred temple of the tooth relic. Thereafter head down to the cultural centre where you will witness Kandyan drummers, fire walkers and graceful dancers put on a spectacular show.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2, return to Colombo for Colombo Highlights tour*

Day 2, after breakfast leave for sightseeing tour of the 8th wonder of the world – the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. A climb to the top of the Rock is a breath taking experience and should not be missed. Thereafter visit the Dambulla rock cave temples dating back to 1st Century BC, where you will witness the evolution of ancient Sri Lankan art.

Another amazing feature of this destination is the 500 million year old Rose Quartz mountain range.Lunch provided at a local restaurant.
